How to recognise coaching mastery?
Look for these four pillars:
Refined coaching skills
2. Integrated mind-body-spirit presence
3. An expansive and stable inner container
4. The capacity to sense and integrate blind spots
The original definition of coaching - helping clients find their own solutions - is somewhat misleading. In my twenty-three years of training coaches, I've seen too many coaches feel confused and powerless as they unintentionally allow clients to lead sessions playing out the same patterns they came to change.
No problem can be solved within the paradigm that created it. Therefore, the coach's primary task is helping clients shift their consciousness to claim space in a different paradigm.
Once they see from this new vantage point, solutions that were previously invisible become immediately clear. Not only that, but the energy needed for their next move becomes available because they've connected to a source within themselves that was previously inaccessible.
Coaches need refined skills, such as powerful questioning, active listening, and raising awareness.
Once we cultivate a strong presence not only in our minds, but in our souls and bodies as well, these skills flow naturally from our being.
Our container is only as expansive as our emotional and spiritual capacity combined with the inner shadow work we've completed. For example, we can only work skilfully with a client's aggression if we know our own aggression intimately, without fearing it.
Blind spot integration is the essential key to shifting a person's paradigm and facilitating growth both internally and externally. There are different paths to get there, all of t hem rest on the foundation of the three previous pillars.
Ready to expand your capacity as a coach and create transformational space for your clients? Let's explore how this approach can deepen your practice.
How do we achieve this?
Who does this serve?
If you're a coach who senses there's more depth available in your work but can't quite access it through conventional coaching methods, this is for you.
Perhaps you notice recurring patterns but when you point it out to your clients they dismiss it or become defensive.
Maybe you feel constrained by the formulaic approaches you were taught in your coaching class, or you recognise that your own unexamined patterns are limiting what's possible in the coaching container.
This work is designed for coaches ready to cultivate strong mind-body-soul presence, as well as competencies beyond technique. It’s for people willing to do the shadow work that creates space for paradigm shifts, knowing that client transformation begins with your own.
How do we work together?
This is a tailored process that adapts to your specific development needs and practice challenges, available either one-on-one or in small groups of fellow coaches (an excellent option for sharing investment costs while deepening collective learning).
We begin with a minimum commitment of six sessions, which provides the foundation necessary for sustainable integration of new capacities.
From there, we shape the journey based on what emerges: some coaches continue for several months to deepen specific areas, while others return periodically as new challenges arise in their practice.
Between sessions, you'll engage with carefully designed reflections and experiments that ensure continuous development. The rhythm and focus remain flexible, always responsive to where your growth edge is calling you.
